Quick Car Sale

The automobile salesman said a woman called and asked if any cars were selling for $2,500 or less. They just happened to have a 1996 white Neon for that price. The woman said she'd take it - sight unseen - and would be right down to give them cash and pick up the car.

She came down, paid for the car with $100 bills, and prepared to drive away. Police arrived at the car lot just as she was about to leave and asked if anyone had seen a man running by. She said, "No."

The police walked back to the Coastal Bank of Georgia branch across the street that had just been robbed and started interviewing witnesses. One immediately volunteered the information that he had seen a man matching the robber's description getting into a 1996 white Neon, driven by a woman.

The thief had robbed the bank while the woman was buying the car! A radio call went out and the car was stopped. The cash, minus $2,500 in $100 bills, was found in a box on the back seat. The robber and his accomplice were arrested.
