ALERT!: FinCEN Hotline

Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has set up a hotline to report suspicious transactions that appear to have any connection whatsoever to the September 11th terrorist attacks. The number, (866) 566-3974, will be in service 24/7.

OFAC also has a line for bankers with questions related to the list of foreign nationals and organizations circulated in September. It is (800) 540-6322.

The telephone numbers are to hasten reporting, but the regulators remind bankers, that even if they call FinCEN or OFAC, they still must file the Suspicious Activity report.
