Burglars Do Owner A Favor

The restaurant was closed, but the three burglars had little trouble breaking in. Once inside, they easily broke the ATM from its anchor bolts, and managed to wrestle it out to their car, but that's where the problem began. They couldn't get the darn machine into the back seat of the 1993 Cadillac DeVille. They decided to try to transport it half in the back seat with the back door open, but before they could take off, a police officer spotted them. The officer managed to capture one of them, and he identified the other two.

The car turned out to be stolen, and the ATM, according to the restaurant owner, had been out of service and empty for over two years. The company that installed it was out of business and it was in his way - he was glad to be rid of it!
