First Tennessee, Memphis, was among several banks named to this year's 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers. For First Tennessee Bank, it was the eighth consecutive year to receive that honor, though it was the first time that its parent, First Tennessee National Corp., also was named in the award. Companies named to the list are recognized for flexible work options and creative benefits packages. Among First Tennessee's benefits is a 24-hour nurse help line available through the Mayo Clinic. Other banks or banking corporations on the list include Bank of America, N.A.; Bank One Corporation; Citigroup; Deutsche Bank; First National Bank; FleetBoston Financial; JPMorgan Chase; MBNA America Bank, N.A.; Northern Trust Corporation; Republic Bancorp Inc.; and Wachovia Corporation.
