High Reputation Rating

Northern Trust Bank came out on top of a list of 21 banking institutions evaluated by Rating Research LLC for ethics reputation. The bank was the only one evaluated to receive the top E-1 rating. The ratings are based on interviews with industry executives conducted late last year that focused on core components such as perception as a trustworthy company, having strong corporate governance, being open and honest with the public, and adhering to ethical business practices.

Overall, the banking industry came out favorable with high-to-medium quality ethics reputation.
