Bank of America's Simple Fraud Solution

Bank of America is using a new protection service for online consumers that acts like a second "key" for getting into a customer's funds online.

The SiteKey product asks participating customers to choose one of thousands of graphic images, write a brief phrase and select three challenge questions. The product works in two ways: it verifies the customer by requiring that he or she know the answers to the challenge questions, and it verifies the bank site itself to the customer by revealing the secret image and phrase when that customer hits the SiteKey button.
