In the process of reviewing regulations to identify candidates for regulatory burden relief, the banking agencies have come around to the consumer protection list. On the table for burden reduction are regulations relating to Fair Housing, Flood Hazard, Consumer Leasing, ECOA, HMDA, Truth in Lending, and Unfair or Deceptive practices. Not on the list is RESPA, as that falls under HUD rather than the banking agencies. The door is open, and you have until April 20th to comment.
