Phishing in Wells (Fargo)
Phishers are taking quick action in an attempt to trick Wells Fargo customers into divulging their login information after an outage in the bank's online services.The new phishing campaign attempts to lure users into entering their personal information by claiming Wells Fargo needs to update their account information because of the recent outage.CNet has the full story.

TJX Link Arrested
A major link to the data stolen from TJX is a Ukrainian man who was recently arrested in a Turkish nightclub.Although not believed to have actually broken into the TJX network, Maksym Yastremskiy is accused of being the largest reseller.Read the full story in InformationWeek.

Playing the Blame Game
Skype is blaming Microsoft for at least a portion of a recent problem that led to a two-day outage for many of its 220 million customers.According to Skype, a large number of computers restarted after applying last Tuesday's Microsoft patches.All of those computers restarting triggered a previously unseen software bug that resulted in the failure of its system.Find out more in SecurityFix.

95 Make Weekly Weak List
The US-CERT Vulnerability Summary for the Week of August 13 2007, lists twenty-eight High, sixty-two Medium and five Low severity vulnerabilities. Weaknesses were listed in multiple Microsoft products, Apache Tomcat; Adobe Flash; IBM AIX; Lotus Notes; Mozilla Firefox; Sun Solaris; and the Linux kernel.
