Deadline for comments on CFPB request for info on Civil Investigation Demands process

The CFPB has released the Request for Information (RFI) about the Bureau’s Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs) that was announced as part of Acting Director Mick Mulvaney’s call for evidence last week. This RFI will provide an opportunity for the public, including covered entities, to submit feedback and suggest ways to improve outcomes for both consumers and investigation targets. The CFPB will accept comments for 60 days after publication (through March 27, 2018) in the Federal Register, which is scheduled for tomorrow, January 26.
