Comments due on proposal to amend supplementary leverage ration


The OCC, Federal Reserve, and FDIC have published a joint notice of proposed rulemaking [84 FR 18175, 4/30/2019] to implement section 402 of the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act. Section 402 directs the agencies to amend the supplementary leverage ratio of the regulatory capital rule to exclude certain funds of banking organizations deposited with central banks if the banking organization is predominantly engaged in custody, safekeeping, and asset servicing activities. Comments are due by July 1, 2019.
