FTC increase of DNC Registry access fees effective today

FTC posts DNC access fees

The Federal Trade Commission has published at 84 FR 44686 in the August 27, 2019, Federal Register a final rule amending its Telemarketing Sales Rule to update the fees charged to entities accessing the National Do Not Call Registry, as required by the Do-Not-Call Registry Fee Extension Act of 2007.

The annual fee for access to the Registry for each area code of data will increase from $63 to $65, and the maximum amount to be charged to a single entity for accessing area codes of data will increase from $17,496 to $17,765 per year. Adding area codes during the second half of an annual subscription period will continue to cost $32 per additional area code. The revised fees will be effective October 1, 2019.
