Comments due on SBA proposal

On November 7, 2022, the Small Business Administration published [87 FR 66963] a proposed rule that would lift its January 4, 1982, moratorium on licensing new Small Business Lending Companies (SBLCs) and add a new type of entity called a Mission-Based SBLC. SBA is also proposing to remove the requirement for a separate Loan Authorization under the SBA's 7(a) and 504 Loan Programs.

Comments are due by January 6, 2023.
