Comments due on Fed proposal to amend guidelines

The Federal Reserve Board on November 16, 2022, published [87 FR 68691] proposed amendments to its Guidelines for Evaluating Account and Service Requests, which were published on August 15, 2022. Publication of the Guidelines has prompted the Board to consider potential benefits of expanding the disclosure of the names of institutions that have access to Federal Reserve accounts and services.

As a result, the Board has decided to reevaluate the Federal Reserve's current disclosure practices and to propose an account disclosure process that would balance the relevant benefits and risks.

Comments on the Board's proposal will be accepted through January 17, 2023.
