My bank recently had to cancel a charitable event. Many of the items that had been donated for a raffle are time sensitive and we would like to auction them off before the reschedule date. We have developed a web page to auction these items from and are only inviting those people whom would have originally attended the charitable event to bid on the items. The auction page will in no way be associated with our bank's website. Do you foresee any regulatory, compliance or marketing issues with this?
Is homeownership counseling still required and if so, what is the effective date?
In our TIS disclosure we disclose our overdraft fee only, but not in the order that we pay overdraft transactions. We are considering changing to largest items paid first in hopes of increasing fee income. What, if any, disclosures do we need?
How much liability do advisory directors have compared to the potential liability of directors?
I just ordered Equal Housing Lender posters in October 2007 and another person in the bank ordered them since then. I got mine from the Comptroller of the Currency and the others came from the FDIC. They are exactly the same except for the address for processing under the Federal Fair Housing Act. The posters I received have an address for the Comptroller of the Currency and the other posters ordered have an address for the FDIC. Which is correct or does it matter?
Where can I get new Fair Lending and HMDA posters for the lobby? I have searched the internet, but I know there has to be something I am missing.
Is there an OCC, FDIC, FinCEN or FFIEC regulation surrounding returned customer mail such as statements and bank correspondence which a bank needs to adhere to?
Our holding company is in the process of acquiring an FDIC institution. After the institution is acquired, the plans are to merge one of the holding company's OCC regulated bank LPO's (which is located in an MSA) with the acquired institution. If all this takes place in 2007, what are the reporting requirements regarding HMDA for 2007?
I attended the BOL Conference in Las Vegas which was one of the most interesting and informative conferences I have attended. While reviewing the material under risk assessment, I encountered the following acronym: MLRS. Could someone let me know what this stands for?
