Will today be the day BOL records it's 100,000th post?
This incredible accomplishment is within reach today! As July 25th begins, we are just under 700 posts from the magic number. On busy days, BOLers are posting roughly 500 items, so it will only take 40% more than a normal day's posting.
Do we want to have the celebration while everyone's here to enjoy it, or let the magic number roll over during the weekend when no one's here to partake of the VUDs?
Post early. Post often.

Just curious. If you add up the total of all the posts listed on the main index they only add up to around 96k. Why is that.

Richard, I feel like today is the day. This board is going crazy with posts and I just got this feeling. If it is today, I missed it by 3 days (July 22). Did anyone pick today? If it goes into tomorrow, it looks like JulesB is the big winner.

A better question is what does that person who posts 100M get? Will virtual banners fall from their monitor and confetti shoot out of their floppy drive? And who will be watching as those posts near the mark and everyone who wants this glory is on "speed dial" ready to hit "Continue" at a moments notice? And if we are, say 149 posts away, will it count if at 2 AM I am posting 149, Continue 148 Continue 147 Continue 146 Continue ...

I think today is the day, although I would prefer for it to happen on Sunday (I picked 7/27 ). I think as the day goes on, the posting frequency will accelerate. Congrats Richard for picking today.

How do all of you guys know how many total posts there are? Is there somewhere to go that tells you what the total is or is that a GURU ONLY Area? Surely you are not adding up all of the posts from the main index page. Just wondering.....
