Seriously, DQ. The Canadian side of Niagara Falls is really beautiful. I would love to go back there. Make sure you do the usual touristy things like the Maid of the Mist and the Behind the Falls tour. Not to be missed!!
And also, in my younger days I lived in Eddington, Maine (above Bangor) but we spent almost every weekend at the coast on Mount Desert Isle (the home of Bar Harbor) It's an absolutely gorgeous place. Then just head north along the coast and it just keeps getting better. Maine was my favorite place that I lived growing up (we lived many many different places - I went to thirteen different schools growing up so you get the idea)
