Thanks for the clarification. Yes, I've heard about that, and I agree, it is appalling.

“Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses? John McCain 8/21/08

Perfect response.

perfectly inadequate: obama has no problem admitting his worth and being taxed on it.

umm because the classic conservative canard of "out of touch with the common man" has come back to bite a conservative in the rear!

your ilk actually thinks he gives a damn about the common man.

you sure seem to be earning that substantial sum. i guess this in part helps to explain the magnitude of the troubles that financial institutions are having with their bottom lines...

let's check the tape: mccain spews populist trash about taxes--> his propaganda machine talks about out of touch elitist leftists --> mccain is literally out of touch with his own wealth --> the tax burden proposed by obama is effectively what clinton had but less onerous and that wasn't anything like the fear-mongers claim, in fact, it was hella prosperous --> everyman mccain tries to fear people into ignoring history as to how negative the impact of taxes are as well as how good republican policies are that are in part strangling our economy while hypocritically acting like he represents the common man

yes, mccain's propaganda about taxes is quite full of it. issue confirmed.

listen, you mental midget. read the post. it didn't say i would not vote for mccain if he picked ridge or lieberman; it said the impact from a hillary pick would be the same for me as a ridge or lieberman pick. if i was convinced to vote mccain/lieberman, i'd be convinced to vote mccain/hillary.

If you're happy with someone not knowing how many houses they own, then good for you.

John McCain's family owns at least eight properties — not the seven Democrats are alleging or the four McCain's staff identified.

The presumptive Republican nominee, though, may have some wiggle room in explaining why he couldn't immediately provide an answer when asked by Politico how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own. Sen. McCain himself does not own any of the properties. They're all owned by Cindy McCain, her dependent children and the trusts and companies they control.

Well, then you can explain the medical actions that would keep a 13 or 14 week old fetus alive after a 'botched' induced labor abortion...

because that is salt-of-the-earth kind of a thing, right? maybe a sweater vest will fix that. get on it, steve.

this guy real has a feel for what americans fight through economically; this is how he would want taxed. [/reassuring hand on shoulder]

it is the same old thing everytime: fear fear fear. taxation does not = poor economic conditions. we had 8 years of an economic and taxation philosophy that has helped cripple our economy but we are scared to change from it? change to a proven paradigm of fiscal and economic policy in conditions like we have now?

how many american thinker articles do you guys have to read before you actally convince yourselves of this?
