Sometimes I just have to make a comment. Its not God who has the "power" of death...its the devil.

Harry S. Truman probably seemed to some to be an unlikely choice for a running mate for FDR's fourth term, especially if the public had know how serious Roosevelt's health was. Truman did all right, I think.

Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in [censored]. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." Matt. 10:28-31 It would seem, according to Jesus, that God does have the power of death. (Satan has the power - temporarily - to inflict bodily death, but that power is not exclusive. It doesn't abnegate God's power.)

I still like that Kid Rock made the comment that celebs should stick to what they do best--perform--and stay away from things they may not fully understand--politics. Too bad some BOLers didn't also apply that mantra.
