We are working on coming up with a procedure on how to handle "Address Discrepancies" on Credit Reports to comply with Section 315. Does anyone have a procedure they are willing to share? Or can anyone tell me what they are going to do for this?

We still haven't heard from the CRA as to how we are to report confirmed addresses to them. That's a big part of the procedure and I'm just treading water until I get that additional information. I developed a checklist to use when the CRA reports a significant address discrepancy. It walks the loan officer through the process of how to resolve the discrepancy and it provides documentation of the process.

Is there any way I could look at your checklist?

You'll report the confirmed address the next time you regularly report to the CRAs.

I have a question concerning the address descrepancy and the CRAs. Who is considered a CRA, just the big 3 or would ChexSystems also be included in this bunch as far as address descrepancy goes?

I thought I saw that it was only the credit report agencies but since there is negative information reported on ChexSystems do we also need to include them in our procedures?
