My little granddaughter would go to yard sales with me before she could walk. We'd stop at one and she'd start kicking her feet to get out of the car seat. When she was old enough to talk a little, she'd ask, "Where the toys?" I just wish they hadn't moved out of town so we could still do this together!

So cute BW. My husband is a sucker for buying toys. Even though we have no grand's yet, he keeps saying, well one day someone will want to play with it.

I don't remember shopping at a second hand shop before. I like to check out Dollar Tree now and then, but after reading about everyone's great finds I'll have to check out some second hand shops. Thanks for the info about Freecycle, I've never heard of it before!

I'm with those who've said second hand clothes give them the creeps. The exception for me are special occasion clothes (formals, costumes, or show clothes). But for pretty much anything else - point me at the flea market! In fact, I've spent the last two evenings getting my stuff together for a big county-wide 'yard sale' at our fairgrounds this weekend.

I know this is odd, but I don't buy myself 2nd hand clothes (creep factor) but I will buy them for my kids.

I just now realized that! LOL
