I just had a discussion with another colleague regarding the 26 red flas. They had been told within their organization that all but 2 of the red flags had been delayed until some time next year. Does anyone have any insight to this? It's the first time I've heard of it...please comment!

I know the FTC postponed, but that didn't affect financial institutions. I believe your colleague may have been mis-informed.

Here is what I found on the FTC's web-site. Apparently they are delaying "enforcement" of the rule within their jurisdiction, and not delaying the mandatory compliance deadline.

But that delayed date has nothing to do with the banking regulatory agencies.

Tater, as Queen Mum said, that will not affect banks...some credit unions, yes.
