I think so. But then again, I read "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" and "Beowulf" every year.

I really liked Playing for Pizza and it kind of suprised me. I'm a John Grisham fan but usually not for his non law related work...although I did like Painted House...but I digress...Playing for Pizza was good...

James Patterson is one of my all time favorite authors! I'm just starting Double Cross - I figure it'll be a good one!
And prolific as heck too! I picked up #1 of his Women's Murder Club series when I was traveling so much last month. Read the first five in October and just finished six. (Seems I can't read nearly as much at home as I can on an airplane.) Number seven is on my desk to start tonight. I'm so sorry the series was cancelled.

One thing I like about this series is the three page chapters. Makes it easy to read a bit and put it down when life jerks you back to reality. frown

I read one of James Pattersons books, it was too quick of a read for me and very predictable

Yep, I read Nora Roberts first, and hesitantly tried the JD robb, because I am more into historical reading that futuristic, but she hooked me

I just finished Christ the Lord Out of Africa by Anne Rice. I thought it was really good and want to read the next one, Out of Cana.

What is the name of number 7 of the Murder Mysteries? I've read all 6.

I think #7 is 7th Heaven.

As an epic poem, Beowulf can be kind of difficult to read. You just have to take your time and that is difficult for me because I am a fast reader.

Has anyone read The Firey Cross by Diana Gabaldon? I just got it last night. I'm pretty sure that I read the first in the series long time ago. I'd forgotten that when I bought this book. I wish I'd bought the next in the series.

Seamus Heaney has a new (relatively) translation that I've not yet read.

Simon Armitage's new translation of "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" is excellent.
