OMG! I'm thinking some of us should perhaps have a preemptive discussion with our marketing folks about the placement of promotional materials in our branches. smile

New Policy: Life-size cutouts of human figures must not be placed near windows where they are visible from outside the branch.

How funny would that have been to be one of the responding officers trying to talk out the cut-out. laugh

Some in the law enforcement field just aren't cut out for the job.

grin

Had I been there and seen the suspicious figure through the bank window, my first thought would have been "Don't worry, its probably just a board Member."

Guess
I don't like the story...the reporting was kind of "one dimensional"; it just left me flat.

Yes, this is funny...almost unbelievable! None of us were there and therefore cannot view what the responding cops saw. Remember, they are the same cops that respond to our "real" alarms and they played this out by the book. Their job is to protect us by doing what they do best. It seems they did this. Are there lessons to be learned from this? Probably. Having been there and done that I would hope that every police response to a situation similar to this goes down the same way. No one got hurt or worse!
