Here, and only 1 other in accounting dept. today. The bank is buying pizza for smaller staff than usual and we will be watching a football game on TV off and on in the employee room, with the full wall big screen.

At least we get to close at noon today!

<----- Hand rised high in the air - I'm here, I'm here just didn't get in until around 10:00 - - who needs a compliance officer the day after Thanksgiving before 10:00AM??? Today is the annual Christmas Walk in town so we close at our usual 5:30, employees who volunteered to work the walk get pizza and the doors open again around 6 ish for the annual rush for the free small stuffed toy. I have on my annual Christmas Jumper and everyone is festive - if not a little tired by the end of the night.

Those of us that are here are having pizza but unfotunately no big screen TV. Just the usual radio and that isn't working right today.

We're in very small towns and almost all of the businesses will close also except the retail stores. A lot of the local residents will go to larger near-by towns to shop the bargains today also.

Me - I'm going home! No shopping today or even this weekend (except on line)! A bunch of nuts are always out there.

I'm here too......but only til noon. I took a half vacation day.

I need the time off badly. I've been training a new CSR for the last month (or so it feels like anyway) and it is just sucking the life right out of me......and BSA training starts in a week and a half.

So I'll enjoy my slightly long weekend. Cooking a belated Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday, but otherwise I plan on relaxing.

I am here....and I'm not sure why......Hope it doesn't drag like Wednesday did.....

But...I am reminding myself that I am thankful for my job!

Thanksgiving is over but this week-end we are having a birthday party for my 3 year old grandson whose birthday actually is today. He was born on the first day of deer season 3 years ago. If you know anything about western PA you will know that is not a good thing to do to your grandpa's. The schools even close down for the first day of deer season. We have 7 acres of woods behind our house and I don't go outside at all for a week.

So, they were all here last week-end for Thanksgiving and then they will be back tomorrow for the birthday. I'm tired already just thinking about it.

Ditto...it seems like most of it is other peoples work, however. Hmmm...

Because I had to come in to work today, my hubby is out hunting. My faith in the universe's sense of justice has now been renewed - I'm sitting in my nice, cozy, warm, dry office looking out the window at the POURING RAIN and giggling my butt off.

Here today, but was off on Wednesday. We are about half staff each day. No lunch, but the bank ordered in pizza for us. Pretty slow and the day is just dragging on.....
