you seemed to be pretty adamant about just how neutral the site was which implies that the truly better team won since the home field advantage didn't exist and, in college football, the home field advantage means a LOT.
in other words, you are saying it with out doing so explicitly. I was adamant because it is neutral. That's it. You can tell me I implied whatever you want if it makes you feel better. I'm not making excuses for UT so you don't need to keep trying to suck me into your meaningless argument. No, no no it was not neutral. If you have more fans its not. In September 11th 2000 Nebraska played at Notre Dame. Pictures of it can be found on the web. The game was in South Bend Indiana, but by some idiotic logic it should be considered a home game for Nebraska.  Because as you can see from the pictures, the stands were full of Nebraska fans. Mostly Nebraska fans. So I guess this gives them home field advantage?

No, OU is deemed better at this point because UT beat OU in early October. UT lost to TT in early November. Then OU beat UT in late November.
Pollsters (and computers) seemed to believe that OU got better or UT got worse.

The BCS is flawed, but is it too much to ask that it be grounded in reality?

I am not talking about Tech. They got beat by a zillion at the end of the season, and not under any circumstances can a team that gets beat by a zillion at the end of the season be at the top of the rankings. That is, again, reality. So, back to reality, rainman. Back to reality. It has nothing to do with a belief that UT is better than Tech. Reality is that you can't lose big at the end of the season and expect to be in the hunt for the Championship. So, we are back comparing OU and Texas. Texas beat UT. Reality. If you want to play "belief" and "what if." Then, what if Harrell doesn't take Tech to a TD on the final drive? Would UT deserve to be ahead of OU? I would hope that you'd say no, because a 11-1 OU team would still be better than a 12-0 UT under your belief system. BTW: If at any time if I seem angry or rude, it is not my intention. I am just having fun talking smack. I say: If you can't take the smack, get out of the kitchen.
