Trouble at Chuck E Cheese

I've often said that one version of h-ell is an endless kid's party at Chuck E Cheese.

Had my daughters party there once...., after that I found that the roller skating rink parties were much more tolerable!

(The couple parties I had at home resulted in some very unusual stains on our carpet.....)

I've never been there but I find it hard to believe that all of these fights cn occur over children's games at a pizza place. I know my grandosn loves it at Chuck E Cheese but I my never let him go back there.

Never been there.
Never had any desire to take my kids there.
I was a baaaaaaaaaad mom.

The Chuck E. Cheese where I used to live; there was a pub just across the parking lot and parents would tag team watching the kid and going to the bar, made the experience more tolerable....but after the pub shut down and Chuckies stopped selling watered down beer altogether: nothin in the world could get me in that place.

My grandchildren love that place, but the other grandmother takes them there We find other things to do that are much quieter.

Not only too much noise, too many people, and lousy food - what about how expensive? I'd rather take the kids to the locally owned putt-putt/game room for games.

I refuse to go anywhere that caters to kids, that includes Disney. I don't like children, even my own sometimes...

I have never had a problem taking my kids there, we usually hit it right after school, it is fairly empty and the kids have a great time, well worth it for the fun they have, especially when I was living up north. It was a nice break from the snow

While I've never been to this restaurant in my life, I think I'll start going because it's cheaper than tickets to a cage fight. Or hockey.

I just wish I had grandchildren, but if I did I wouldn't take them to a place like Chucky's.

The closest Chuck E Cheese to us is 2 hours away, yay!!! So, we've only been once with our son, and my step daughter was with us at the time, so she took him around to play all the games and my husband and I just relaxed and watched. Well, as much as you can relax at a Chuck E Cheese that is. And I agree, the pizza really sucked!

DQ does allow her children to play in her hair...one was lost for 3 weeks and tehy had to call in search and rescue to find him! (oops, am I in the wrong thread?)

Actually, I took my kid to Disney, cause I didn't want he to be deprived, and he hated it...

I don't mind CC; not sure what the big deal is.

Kids go nuts, but so what? It's created specifically for that.

As long as it's clean, what's the problem with it?

CC's around here have been a hotbed for trash... more than one have been forced to closed, and I don't think the remaining two even have their liquor licences anymore.

Most families avoid the place here.

My post wasn't saying that it was clean, but that IF it were clean, then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Now, if it's not kept clean, then you have a germ-fest just waiting to happen.

I've never cared for Chuck E Cheese - its way too loud and the pizza doesn't taste very good. We have another establishment about 40 mins away that has goofy golf, bumper boats, a game arcade, and other fun things that isn't nearly as noisy. Kids have a great time. On Saturdays, they can get in really cheaply and get pizza and coke thrown in.

Now, that's my kind of place. One can find several establishments along Van Buren that cater to such...

I'm surprised they are still in business since the days of the video game arcade are dead thanks to consoles and computers.
