I have just revamped my entire high risk customer base, by the methendology used in determining who is H/R. a new situation has now come up and I wanted to see what other banks are doing for this. as it stands now we look at the entire relationship a customer may have and based on that relationship each account is risk assessed, if the customer has say 5 accounts with us and only one account is high risk due to the nature of the activity and the other 4 are med to low risk that is how it stands. However I am thinking maybe the entire relationship should be HR by association. What are you guys doing in this regards.

We risk rate the relationship.

We rate the relationship as well. If the customer is high risk we monitor all the accounts the he/she/they have ownership in.

We also risk rate the client. The type of accounts and services held by the client is one of the factors used to establish the rate.

We rate the account individually but then we have Patriot Officer that I use to rate the relationship quarterly based on the activity and type of transactions over the previous 90 days.
