One of my coworkers had his son admitted to the hospital last night, they are currently testing him for lukemia due to the symptoms he is showing. Please say a prayer...

Prayers for this family and the doctors, for wisdom in identifying and treating what's wrong. God bless them.

happy, Prayers said for this family. While spending Christmas in the hospital stinks (been there), not knowing is worse. Lend an ear, a shoulder, whatever when/if your coworker needs, not that you wouldn't . There is nothing scarier, than the unknown with your kids, nothing. May all involved have the knowledge necessary and the skill to help their boy.

well, the good news is that they ruled out lukemia, and have identified it as a condition known as I.T.P. His platelet count was down around 2,000 when admitted to the hospital (normal count is 150,000) but with a series of IVs they were able to get it over 100,000 and he was discharged on Christmas Day. He has been through numerous tests this week and the doctors are trying to find what caused this and the best way to treat it. He is still having the IVs done a couple of times a week, but it looks much better for him. Thanks everyone for your prayers.

Well that is great news! I just want to also thank all the BOLers who answer these prayer requests and send up prayers for members of the BOL family.

Thank God Happy!
Experiencing your child's critical illness is a gut wrenching heart breaker.
God grant the family grace to deal with this.
