SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - An underground fire and explosion in downtown Savannah forced several areas to be evacuated this morning.

I'm not sure what caused it, but the same thing happened back in August and I think that was an electrical problem.

Riding along the Coast
Just ran across this post. I actually work in downtown Savannah. It was the underground electrical system caught on fire and exploded and caused a Man-Hole cover to blow. Power out for a day or so and no one was injured.
