Our borrower decided to change where he gets flood insurance coverage. The prior policy expired 12/5 and he applied with another agent for a new flood policy on 12-19, and the new policy will take effect 1-18. We have a copy of the application and proof of payment.
The first 45-day notice was sent 12-9 to the borrower. Should we force place insurance for the period of lapsed insurance (12/5 to 1/18)?
Should another letter be sent on 1-8 (30 days following the first notice)?
Maybe I'm thinking too much on this one but I've never had this happen before.

You can't force place now until 1/23 based on when you gave your 45 day notice - so it is a moot point.
