I have a customer who made a deposit to her single account for 9K. Later the same day someone else came in and made a deposit to another account of the same customer for 4845.00. This other account was a joint account with her spouse. I am planning to file a CTR for customer in the amount of 13845.00, listing her, and checking boxes (d) and (e) in sec B. My question is whether I list spouse; I am wavering because that second deposit for 4845.00 was the only one that benefits spouse, as he is not on the single account that got the 9K deposit. Any thoughts anyone?

I would list the spouse. Even though he only benefits from a portion of the deposits, it gives a complete picture of the transactions for that day.

Absolutely. If he received only $1, he would still go on the report as benefiting from one of the cash transactions.

I'll make it a trio.
