Close to Walhalla (sp?) SC?

I'm not in the upper midwest but...I'd rather have cold than freezing rain. I'm tired of sliding home after a day of Compliance only to have a double log truck pass me on the left zooming along like it was summer. I can't imagine what its like for one of those to lose control....I hope I never find out, either!

I'm about 75 miles from Walhalla, I believe.

Well, its the weekend and I assume most of us have Monday off. So stay warm and maybe it will be warmer when we have to go back to work. We are considering going north into New York state for a wrestling tournament where they have over 2 feet of snow. We must be nuts. Especially since we are going to watch a 6 year old wrestle.

Our bank is not closed on Monday. BUT it's suppose to warm up to 23 on Monday. WAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOO!

It's above zero!!

When I left yesterday a bunch of people were walking around with their coats unzipped - and it was only 2 above. Guess it's been cold when zero seems like a heat wave!

Geez! I was so glad when it finally got above 32 degrees earlier this morning.

It has warmed up but we got 4-5 inches of new snow overnight. We are running out of places to put it.

we might get a little rain this week. Oh no, STORM WATCH 2009 on the local news.

Don't you just love when the news sends some hapless reporter out on the streets with an umbrella so he or she can interview passersby and ask what they think about "all the rain?" Half the time, it's only sprinkling and most other folks don't have umbrellas, so they just give the reporter an odd look and keep walking or they say something banal like "Well, we need the rain."

I can just imagine the reporter thinking to him or herself "For this I spent 4 years studying Journalism in college?"

It's 3 degrees here this morning. That's ok. For now the negative temps have left. Anyhow, I really couldn't tell the difference between -12 and -24 when I went outside.

Now if the snow would go away. I think people are a bit crabby in this winter weather.

it's true, peepers. i did it twice....

Currently 51 and gearing up to be a beeeeee-u-t-full day.
Too bad I'll be indoors processing deer meat and doing laundry for most of the day.
