Banks participating in the subject program have to provide a notice on their websites as well as posted in the branches. The reg provides a few sentence notice. The FDIC was going to give stickers but now they are not. How did you post this in your branches?

We posted the notice adjacent to our existing FDIC signs.

Thanks, for signage we have the decals all over the place. Are you guys using something that appears along side your CRA, etc. posters, perhaps something "suitable for frameing"???

No. Small signs sitting alongside each of the FDIC signs.

Brenda, did you include both the FDIC "On October 3, 2008...." sentence as well as the guarantee disclosure on the same sign??

If som maybe we should look at getting some plastic stand up sign??

The website notice is only if you offer account opening, deposit taking online thought, correct?

Just Jay.Yes, the website notice is for those banks opening accounts online...however, it is also a nice place to point out to customers that your bank signed up to obtain this coverage for them...

Just Jay & Trees = The website notice applies to all banks.
See post # 1089713 by southernbelle - it gives a portion of the response she got from The FDIC that essentially says . . .
"In the preamble to the Final rule . . . the website disclosure requirement should be reas as applicable to any depository institution that offers on-line banking services?

I was wondering if anyone has seen or come up with an answer to a question that was floated out there about the lobby signage as it relates to cashiers checks? Specifically, banks that use Moneygram or Traveler's Express for their cashier's checks. What did you decide to do as far as noticing your customers regarding not being covered on the TLGP? Did you do just a lobby notice, a combination of a lobby notice with a seperate notice on mailed out checks or no notice at all because you determined it isn't needed?

Remember I said 'ditto' - well I was in one of our locations this morning and the individual signs are down next to each FDIC notice and one large one - more of an advertising type sign - is displayed in the lobby. I'm looking on the FDIC website but haven't been able to find anything yet about requiring the notice next to each sign. Can someone help me find where this is a requirement before I blow my top at someone?

Thanks!

The doc. was in Federal register/Vol 73, No. 229, page 72269.

Under participation 370.5

H) Disclosures, go to #4. It does NOT say next to the FDIC sign. It say "prominent notice in the lobby"....So, we are making up the little cardboard standing signs with the notice, which is only a few sentences. We will have these displayed on the CSR desks as well as near the teller window.
