This was the last year on her contract. Hopefully they lowball her so bad she won't ever come back. Simon has one year left on his contract and has said he is thinking about not coming back since he is a judge on two other shows in the UK(Xfactor and britan's got talent) and the travel requirements(he is sometimes flying back and forth three times a week).

They are currently in talks with Paula to extend her contract. Seems like Kara was brought in to prepare for the show's loss of Simon Cowell when his contract runs out.

Paula was interviewed briefly on the news this morning and she said she couldn't be replaced! She thinks this is the right job for her and she likes it.

Got news for Paula - everyone can be replaced and there are plenty of has been singers floating around to choose from.
