We are thinking about implementing branch capture in all of our branch locations. Has anyone else done this? If so, have you seen an increase in the need for branch staffing and/or customer service impact? Any thoughts/suggestions that anyone may recommend that we should consider prior to implementing this would be helpful. Thanks!

If you have a choice do branch capture not teller capture.
There has been a definate customer service impact. We do teller capture which requires the teller to scan and balance the transactions while customer is present to receive a receipt. This is very time consuming and has resulted in long lines.

We do branch capture. Our biggest problem, is all the rejects due to bad hand writing. This has almost increased the work load.

We have branch capture through Jack Henry and 4Sight. We do not have very high volume customers, but the scanning is relatively quick and painless.

To keep things going, the tellers will run their work at 2 hour intervals (one collects tickets from all others and runs the work).

The branch closes at 5 and everyone balances and is usually out by 5:10.
