Something about this story just doesn't sit quite right. I realize that an accident can happen anywhere, anytime, but to be on a beginner slope and have a simple fall - that doesn't really go with head trauma. I wonder if she was out of control and crashed into a tree?
Mont Tremblant is a beautify resort!

I jsut read an article about something called "Talk and Die Syndrom" where the patient seems OK for about an hour after a head injury and then blood fills up in the brain and they can die. It was connected to a story about Natasha on FoxNews.

It was connected to a story about Natasha on FoxNews. I heard about this on the radio this morning. They also speculated that perhaps a pre-existing condition caused the event to happen, rather than the event happening causing what's wrong now...

I wonder if the fall and possible brain trauma aggrevated an unknown, pre-existing condition.

the thing that bothers me was I wonder why they didn't have her wearing a helmut....
of course I don't really know about these things b/c I've never been skiing so it may be ok to not wear one on a beginners slope anyways???

i think it's pretty much expected these days, but she probably thought - it's the beginner's trail, it'll be fine.

I didn't wear a helmet when I learned to ski either.

I never wore one, I figured that with all the hairspray, coupled with the big hair, it was a makeshift helmet anyways... fixed.

Makes you realize how fragile we can be.
I hate to wear a helmet when I do anything, I probably should rethink that. But then again freak things happen sometimes for which there is no explanation. Sometimes it's your time and God just reaches down and takes you.
I hope that she had a full life and that her family is strong.

of course I don't really know about these things b/c I've never been skiing so it may be ok to not wear one on a beginners slope anyways??? I ski. You are flying faster than most ride a bicycle...even on the beginner slopes. Helmets are a very good idea, but I admit that I've never worn one.
