Are you all getting e-mail from everyone and their dog telling you that the special assessment is lowered? There's nothing in my inbox from the FDIC.....just everyone else.

Haven't seen anything new in a day or two. As far as I know, the cut from 20 to 10 basis points is still just a proposal.

Was there an announcement regarding this last week? My CFO is asking. I can't find anything!

we received an email from the President of the Florida Bankers Association requesting help in sending letters out requesting the cut.

According to the ABA, the bill that has the increase in FDIC's line of credit is coming up. Until passage, there is no change in the pending 20 bp special assessment. Just waiting and hoping! Anyone watching the Friday closures now the CU's are getting in on the act.
