I have only watched this show a few times and I spend most of the time trying to figure out who's related to whom. I did watch the last 2 weeks and now I am really puzzled. Why does Selma look and dress like a man?

They never really got into why she dresses like that. What I have picked up from watching is:
Selma,it turns out, is Romans sister. (this was only revealed a couple of episodes ago)
Selma is not respected by the Greens.
Selma was very uncomfortable in a dress, and is possibly gay, though that was never an integral part of the storyline.
Big Love is one of my favorite shows, I even was using the screen name "MyThreeWives" for a while.

Love this show...
very disappointed in the season finale though
every season they allude to Bill either starting his own chuch or being the new prophet but nothing ever comes of it

This was the first time I think they alluded to Bill starting his own church. His Grandfather was the prophet before (allegedly) being murdered by Roman.

This was the first time I think they alluded to Bill starting his own church. His Grandfather was the prophet before (allegedly) being murdered by Roman. last season finale they drew many similarities between Bill and Joseph Smith/Abraham Lincoln the look on his face and actions made it seem as though he would be heralded as the new prophet...

I knew she was Roman's sister from a comment that was made in the last couple of weeks, but like I said, I haven't watched the entire series. Re the young guy that Sarah (is that her name? the actress that was in Mamma Mia) is in love with - does he know all about the polygamy thing in her family?

Selma is one of Hollis' wives.
Scott, Sara's boyfriend, knows about the polygamy. She met him at a support group for ex-mormoms.

Jimi, do you think Nickie will end up testifying for the state against her father and prior husband? I think her attraction to the state attorney was his defiance of her father and his interest in her. Now that she has brought her daughter home, her backstory will come out and her abuse will be uncovered and she will want revenge (because she is a spiteful little beech).
Who will be arrested for attacking Roman?

Who will be arrested for attacking Roman? Nikki is hard to huage, as her insecurities and fear dictate her thinking. Roman was old and not in perfect health, it is within the realm of possibility that the murder may not be discovered.
