Management at our bank is considering passing on some of the charge for FDIC insurance ( non-interest bearing accounts which have full coverage under the Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program).

Is anyone elso doing this? If so, only to business customers or consumers as well?

We are but alot of complaints. Considering reversing our decision on passing on the fee. Can we legally pass on the fee?

I found that FDIC allows the passing on the fee as long as it is not in excess of actual cost. Here is the link to the advisory opinion: http://www.fdic.gov/regulations/laws/rules/4000-6290.html
