I was at my boys ball practice and the "ladies" were all discussing their tatoos. The funniest was the coaches ex-wife who was talking to the new Mrs and showing her (and all those around) how she was having his named tattood over on her breast.

My thought was, just draw a line through it and have the new guys name added below his. Kind of keep score that way.

or have the new guy change his name to match the old guy.....

and as far as the getting names tattooed on your body, how stupid, seriously, use your noggin people. Now if its like your kids names, yeah i can understand but not a s/o. It's bad luck. And yes i'm superstitious like that.

Re: names. My hubby wants a tattooed on wedding band because he's in construction and beats his ring up really badly. I keep vetoing the idea based on the relationship-ink = doom theory.

I have my brothers' name in chinese tattooed on the top of my foot. It will be 5 years this August when he suddenly left us.

It took me 3 years to get this- but I am so happy I have it. I love it.

I wanted to get a tattoo for my 50th birthday. Never managed to do so and it's gone by. I'm still going to (won't have the same meaning) but I am so undecided about what to get. I want something meaningful and not too girly (butterflies, hearts, whatever) I want something to symbolize freedom (recently divorced after 27 years of mostly misery) or power. It would be on my lower hip area (can't be visible for work) It's strictly for me (my son is slowly covering his body so he is all for it)

Any suggestions?
