If it was a gesture of respect, why did he not bow down for the Queen of England, as is the custom there?

Possibile rule infractions: Rule 2. Don't type in ALL CAPS. It is the Internet equivalent of shouting. It can also be difficult to read. Rule 14. Flaming of other posters is NOT permitted. Rule 20. Practice the golden rule. Treat others as you would have them treat you -- respectfully and kindly. In looking at the rules, didn't the writers of the rules violate their own rule? Rule 14 used ALL CAPS and thus Violated Rule #2. Having reviewed the rules, I really didn't see any thing bad enough to bring on a warning. Actually this thread seems more tame than others out there.>>>> Is it because today is GOOD FRIDAY and we should be GOOD to all today? Just wondering?

Oh, I thought perhaps some posters may had been going unchecked in their remarks... my bad! well just the posters who would have such marks zapped in heartbeat. I noticed some foul language that went unchecked yesterday for a lengthy amount of time. We do have actual jobs. If something offends you and you tell know one, it's the fault of a MOD?

The White House brought this on themselves in issuing a denial, an incredulous one at that..........
why is it that Presidents think they can never be wrong....?

Bollywood ColdCut Foreign Policy Principle #8: The President should spit on all foreign heads of state to symbolically remind them that, since they are not Americans, their government has no legitimate moral basis. Axis of Liberal Idiots Foreign Policy #8: Not bowing before a foreign leader = spitting upon them.

Miscuit, Obama bowed pretty low for his height, and it wasn't just a nod (watch for yourself and see what you think).
Prostrating himself was a little exagerration, but I am just not buying what the Whitehouse is selling.
Did you say something Ginsu Master?

Really? I thought the thread made an issue of the fact that CNN isnt really posting the article. Even though you seem to have missed it (again) lets take a look at the difference between spitting and bowing. You start!

I think it would have been more appropriate (symbolic) for him to have bend over and showed his back side and say something like,
"Here's your chance, have at it, I am letting everyone else have a turn..."
"My predecessor did it to everyone else, so it is only fair I let the world do it to us now"

There should be one uniform greeting the president uses.
The current administration could go something like this after shaking the hand of the other head of state:
If you smell l l l l l l l l l l l l l l ! what Barack is cookin!
And if that head of state takes offense, he can drop the people's elbow on him.
