not where I want to be
we've been getting a lot of disputes from customers who sign up for free trial offers, don't cancel within the required time frame, get charged for a monthly membership and want us to eat it. We have been denying the claims even though some of them seem pretty sneaky....including offers from other companies that the customer has to cancel as well or they'll be charged. The terms and conditions spell everything out though so we do deny the claims. Are we being too tough?

Double no. Why should the bank take a loss because the consumer agreed to certain terms? What should the bank do, refuse to allow such debits? You simply can't. It was authorized.

Tell your consumers who may have buyers remorse to use credit cards.
