Is there a military exemption for soldiers in Iraq who want to conduct banking operations in the US? Most of them have designated a POA, but was asked if they are treated differently.
It is my understanding that even if I a US citizen would travel to Iran and call back to transfer money the bank should refuse to do the transaction.

The accounts of soldiers that are in Iraq should transact the same as if they were back at home. Yes, most of them named power of attorney's so that the people back home could take care of their business, but if they wanted to call home and transfer money or transact in their account, I guess there is not a problem that I see with this. Of course you would verify through personal information that is the true accountholder. If I am way off base, please someone jump in and let us know.
