Dip, I can't check the link here at work, so I'll have to try to remember to look at it from home!

I didn't go to prom - wasn't allowed to dance. But the other formal events attended - Gunny Sax ringing a bell with anyone?

I didn't go to Prom, I decided to skip Prom and go to Hawaii for my Senior trip instead. It was a great trip!

Between my then boyfriend now husband, I went to 5 proms. It looks like being held back a year served you well... some people would see it as a stigma and be afraid to talk about it. Kudos!

I do not believe any pictures still exist of my prom. Me in my powder blue tux complete with ruffled shirt and cummerbund and my date in her pale yellow gown.
Ahhh the memories. Waiting forever to be served dinner, waiting in line for an hour to get our picture taken, dancing two dances, then rushing to get my date home and get home myself before my driver's license curfew....

Cute! I bet DQ's hair was this size when it started out, lol So funny how times and styles change. Defined curls are all the rage these days...no more soft, upswept looks.

I loved my prom dress. It was a southern belle style dress (complete with hoop-skirt), off the shoulders, in light pink, trimmed in white lace. Back in 1987, that style was popular (today....not so much). Actually, there was another girl in our group that had a very similar dress in lavendar. Thinking about that dress reminds me of the "very" cute and hunky young man who took me to prom. I actually got hooked-up with him on a blind date two weeks before prom. ::wonders what he's up to these days::

I was '95, too!
QCD - I went to all 4 Proms, as well. 3 with hubby, 1 with a friend (Jr year) because hubby and I were in an 'off' phase of our 'on again, off again' relationship that has existed since I was 14. Dresses were: Freshman - royal blue, spaghetti strap, short with flared skirt (hey, it was '92 and my older sister picked it out, cut me some slack!) Sophomore - don't remember. I think it was black and short. Junior - borrowed at last minute ('cause I hadn't planned on going) teal sequined pageant dress, simple halter top sheath that hit just above the knee. Senior - don't remember. I think it was long and black, but I might be confusing it with my Homecoming dress from that year (yeah, I went to all of those too).

I know, right? Add to that:
both like guns both like dogs both like to cook
Maybe there's soemthing to that "everyone has a twin" theory....ours just didn't involve appearance.
