We received an application and on the application the daughter applies and the mother wants to be co-signer. On the application form they write "co-signer" in the area where the co-applicant info would be filled out so it is clear that the mother intended to be a co-signer, not a co-applicant. However, they both signed the "We intend to apply jointly" section of the application also. So my question is, does this violate Reg B if they sign intent to apply jointly but really meant to apply as borrower and co-signer?

Isn't a co-signer technically applying for joint credit?
