The 3D version is not that spectacular, and once you get through the sad opening, it is a very good movie -- I was surprised how many old people were there without crumb crunchers..........

My daughter saw it and said it was a really good movie. That is rare praise from a cynical 19-year old!

It looks funny to me. I'm not sure about the whole 3D thing, but the story looks cute.

That one is definitely on our to-see list.....with the crumb crunchers.

It may be more appealing for older children but it's definitely not 'Finding Nemo'. I took the three gransgirls ages 12, 6 and 2 to see it Sunday. The 12 yr old liked it and said she cried 3x. I had to explain too much to the 6 yr old and it was too slow and plodding for the 2 yr old to bear. Same 2 yr old sat still for Hotel for Dogs and that animated dog film last winter. Personally, I didn't enjoy it much either.

I have not even heard of this movie.

the commercials do not appeal to me for some reason, and i generally am a fan of good animated movies (madagascar I and II are some good ones)

Took the wife and all 6 daughters to see it this past Sunday...great movie! I highly recommend it (after all, I spent $49.00 on tickets and did not regret the expenditure).

We (hubby & I without any "crumb catchers") are planning on going to see it. Especially since it's in 3D. Liked the last antimated 3D movie and I have heard such good things about this. Doesn't really bother me to go to a kids flick without kids. Kinda fun watching the reactions of the kids that aren't related to me

But seriously, I've heard it's a good movie.

We loooooooved it. It's a very sweet love story. We saw the 2D version (I am totally over the 3D hype and the Grasshopper does not like 3D.) I laughed my head off at Dug. Both kids enjoyed it as well (6 and 3.5.)

My wife and I are taking our 6 year old to see UP tonight. My 14 year old daughter saw it Sunday - said it was good, that's the best I could expect since the Jonas Brothers are not in it!

We saw the movie last night and it was very good. I love Pixar movies - it had a really nice message/story line for us adults and enough slapstick, action, and humor for our 6 year old.

My husband (pushing 60) and I (pushing 50) went to see it at the drive in on Saturday night. I laughed, I cried, I was moved. It's a great film. The beginning is a wonderful reminder that the best things in life are the small moments we spend with loved ones. Go see it!

Big Sis, Up is more for grown-ups than kids, imho. The characters in Nemo were not mean. They just followed nature. This story was aimed at an older audience. I had to explain both hospital bits to my 6 yr old gran. If someone takes a little kid who can understand it and enjoy it, let me know. So far, I haven't heard of any. Now, my 12 year old gran liked it but I doubt she would have gone at all if we weren't taking the younger grans. Nemo is still my favorite Pixar film with Monsters Inc running second.

Pixar is 10 for 10 in terms of big opening weekends; this is kind of random but the thought just popped into my head....

We took my 10 year old son last night. When we exited the theater, he said, "That is the best movie I have seen in my whole life."

Where in the world do they still have drive-ins??

Pale, you must be a true cowboy or perhaps you just have difficulty with emotions. I think the sad opening is best part of the movie.
