There is a (very old dilapidated) drive in about 20 miles from us. I take the kids at least once every summer. It's super cheap too...$5 for adults and $1 for the kids.

We have a fairly new drive in. We would rather go there than the actual theater.... good concession, cheap prices and double features for $6. We are taking the kids to see Up and Star Trek tonight.

I saw Up over the weekend and I loved it. Great movie, more for adults in my opinion, but great animation to keep the kids occupied.

There is still a drive-in in San Luis Obispo. We went there a couple of years ago, sleeping bags in the back of the pick up; it was wonderful. Plus they have the best popcorn in the world.

The last drive-in near where I live is now a Target shopping center!

We live in Maine. There are three drive-ins still open in Westbrook, Bridgton and Scarborough (I think.)
We frequent the one in Westbrook. Two movies for $7 each, crinkly fries, greasy drive-in pizza and making out. It's a great deal.
(It just dawned on me that I'm a pretty cheap date.)

Does anyone think that the old guy in Up looked just like Spencer Tracy toward the end of his career?

Does anyone think that the old guy in Up looked just like Spencer Tracy toward the end of his career? And the villain looked (and sorta sounded) like Kirk Douglas (though it was Donald Plummer).

Christopher Plummer was the voice of the villain.
I saw this movie again with my hubby since he didn't get a chance to see it when I went with my friend....he loved it too.

-Z- is getting up there in age, he must have confused Donald Pleasance and Christopher Plummer, all the while thinking Spencer Tracy and the voice of Mr. Fredrickson... ( I refuse to say his name)

Actually, I mixed up Donald Duck and Joe the Plumber.

Hubby & I went to the movie over the weekend and really liked it a lot. Also, we were not the only "childless" couple there

Up was very good, but I still liked Ratatoullie and WALL-E better, or at least as much.
