And did I mention that our packing record for all of the above is down to just 15 minutes - and most of the time we remember to bring Natalie ?! (But we cheat and keep our bags mostly packed in the hall closet.)

Good luck - lots of prayers headed your way.
PM me with the hospital info, if you like, I'll make sure balloons arrive . They are VERY important .

This is Jennifer. Didn't remember to pack my BOL password when we packed for the hospital.
Everything went great! We appreciate all the prayers. His surgery lasted just under 6 hours. And he is recovering very well. In fact we may be headed home from the hospital tomorrow night! We are out of the PICU and on to the Intermediate Intesive Care floor. They told us to expect to be here 5 - 7 days. We had surgery on Tuesday and if we go home tomorrow it would only be 4 days counting the surgery date

Hi all. This is Jennifer. We came home last Friday afternoon. Keeping Jonathan down is going to be hard. Since the day we came home, he wants to run and jump and play. The doctors said he can do what he feels up to but no rough housing, no wrestling, no jumping off of furniture, no swing sets, no swimming pool, no riding bikes and no falling on his chest.
I am thankful that he is recovering so well and wants to run and jump, it is just going to give mom and dad a few grey hair in the process!
We are thankful that "keeping him down" is all that we have to worry about and we thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts for your thoughts and prayers. It is amazing that even though you have never met him, that you care enough to keep thinking of us.
You all are wonderful people!

That is just wonderful news, Jennifer! It is great to know that your son is back home and doing well under your constant love. He will heal best in his own house, his own room, his own bed, near all of his toys, and his family! I'll keep your family in my prayers - for his continued recovery and your family's strength. Just love and time, love and time.

Great news Jennifer. Hopefully some videos and books will give you a little relief and keep him down for at least a little while. Make sure you take care of yourself too.
