It is a pain, but when I plan to share a thread at work I click print screen, copy and paste into Word and delete the pictures. Not that your aren't all adorable, but the pictures distract from the content of the thread! I have gotten pretty speedy at this task.

Whether or not to view pictures with your posts is a selection under "My Home" and " Display preferences, number of shown threads, languages, colors... " so it is at this site level rather than at my browser level.

I turned off viewing my pic and others. They are removed for the regular viewing, but still exist for the Print Thread screens.

Oooops, so sorry for my offending pic. I checked it and thought it was OK. I guess it's just another one of those techy things that I'm not very good at. Gosh, I feel so neeked now. If anyone has something else that will work, please pm me. Thanks,

Andy,

I was just wondering since we have that capability at our level, if your webmaster might have that capability at your level for the "printer friendly" settings.

I'll ask but I don't know how much modification can be done to the program.

Frankly, higher on my wish list is having the search feature default to "AND" instead of "Entire Phrase".

Her cat will be back, I hope. It is already resized and looking for a home. But that cat is finicky you know.

And the wish list I have appears as though it will remain just that. Sorry.

Funny isn't it...the hair guys think they've lost off the top isn't really gone at all; it's just moved to the ears.

I must ask a very stupid question. How do you folks get any type of picture out there with your name. I am not very smart at computers and would like to know how you do this.

OH! That is the fun part! I can only speak for selecting an animated picture and not a photograph, but if you right click on someones picture, you will see a drop down box, selct "address". This is the website that we have gone to to select an animated picture. Go out to the website and look away! Once you have found an animated picture that meets the 80x80 requirements (it can be smaller than 80x80, just not any bigger), then you can cut and paste the URL into your BOL user profile. To see whether it meets the 80x80 test, right click on the clip art and you will see the dimentions of the picture (represented by 128x100 pixels)and the exact URL address that you will need to get that picture.

To get your picture on BOL you have to be registered and go to "My Home" and select edit "Personal information, email, password, etc". At the bottom of the page there is a cell for "URL to your picture (80x80 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)" - paste the URL here and then click on the submit button at the bottom. Then you have to rush out to a thread you have posted before and see if you picture shows up!

Hope this helps.

Actually, I believe the original intent of this thread was to call to our attention that, although right clicking on the pictures may show that the picture is 80x80, if you go the bottom and click PRINT, THEN go to a picture and right click, you will see that a number of them are NOT 80x80. Which is problematic when printing. So always double check when you're selecting your picture that it meets the print standard - they do differ.

Normally our kitties don't like us advertising the removal of their umm parts and giggling! Shame on you

(Glad he's back...I kinda liked him).

If you don't have your picture on a website to link to, you can email the lovely MB and she will probably put it in your profile for you. (She did mine). Beware, on your birthday you may end up in duct tape, or with a goofy crown...but it never lasts long

A Grant Wood painting.
Speaking of ..um... in my search for graphics I ran accross some very graphic graphics. Just my luck if I accidently picked up one of these! I would be a recycling assistant so fast your head would spin! My spinning orbs are at least inoffensive.
