Wow!
I'll have my car paid of the beginning of 2010 and will use those funds to eliminate my credit card debt. From that point on, I resolve to make better decisions about my spending/saving habit because, clearly, we're mostly on our own here.

I don't know if I agree with ANYONE or ANYTHING completely, but I do agree that we have career politicians who have lost sight of why they were elected and consider themselves the "elite" and untouchable to some degree.
I am totally for term limits and stopping the career politician; everyone should be responsible for having a career outside of politics and not suckle on the teat of the American Taxpayer for most of their lives.

Like a dweeb, I read it as www.kick the mall out.com and couldn't understand what was so bad about the mall. Now, I know what it really means.

Well, then just a suggestion. You may want to carefully review some of the content they have linked on their site to be sure you really want to be promoting it.

Well, if you don't, then who am I to say that you should.
But for me, I am uncomfortable with conspiracy kooks, for example:

Video: The Top 4 Unanswered Questions About 9-11 Nano Thermite Dust Found in the World Trade Center Unraveling The Myth of Al-Qaida The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder
Anyway, it's only my opinion, but I think it's a dumb idea to kick out every member of Congress.

But for me, I am uncomfortable with conspiracy kooks, for example:
Top Senate Democrat: Bankers "Own" the U.S. Congress You're right, it's more like the other way around these days, and it's not Congress, it's The President.
Audit The Fed . . . Then End It! I agree that it should be audited; we can then discuss the appropriate actions.
Video: The Top 4 Unanswered Questions About 9-11 Not sure what those questions are, but I am interested if it stops another one from happening.
Nano Thermite Dust Found in the World Trade Center Honestly not sure what Nano Thermite Dust is.
Unraveling The Myth of Al-Qaida Not sure about this either, but it's intriguing.
The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder Correct, I disagree with this.
Anyway, it's only my opinion, but I think it's a dumb idea to kick out every member of Congress. OK, maybe not EVERY member, but a pretty good majority and starting relatively fresh might do this country some good.
OK, nevermind, I looked up Nano Thermite Dust and it's an explosive. I guess there exists the possiblity that the terrorists packed extra bombs on the planes they ran into the WTC or maybe they placed them in the WTC before 9/11, not sure. Not impossible. Do you check EVERY link on EVERY web page that you look at? How do you get anything done if you do?

I think the FED should be audited. I mean, you entrust the nation's financial welfare and sovereign wealth to a private company who can print up money whenever it wants, but has no audit and reporting mechanism to the government it supposedly works for? I mean, we're regulated and audited harsher than the Federal Reserve. I think people forget the FR is a private organization and not a federal agency at all. Using "Federal" in the name was marketing genius...
I also don't mind term limits on senators, and a few cycles of no incumbent re-elections would do wonders for our little republic...

FBH - the Federal Reserve is audited on an annual basis, at the Branch, Bank, and Board level and those reports are available for anyone to receive. The Fed was chartered as a quasi-governmental organization that is intentionally not under the thumb of any federal branch of government for the sole reason that it can't afford to be a political organization (but there are many politics within the walls of the Fed). Excess earnings from the Fed are turned over to the US Treasury...2008 it was over $32 billion in profits turned over. Board appointees to the Fed are done for long terms (14 years) so that they will outlast the person who appointed them, again, removing the politics.
And Fed doesn't print money, the US Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing (the US Mint)does this, the Fed is the distribution point.

HG, do you feel that the "independence" of the Fed still holds true in the current administration?

How did all this carp about the Fed being a private company get so popular lately? Is this a Rush Limbaugh or Glen Beck thing? The Fed is not a private company. (I beleive) anyone who says so is purposely mischaracterizing the nature of the Federal Reserve. We, of all people, should know better.

HG, do you feel that the "independence" of the Fed still holds true in the current administration? yes, and you can review the minutes of the FOMC to see this...

I gave you my thoughts on your comments, what else do you want? Oh, by the way, I am still awaiting your support of the supposed war Christians are promoting against non-believers....

I gave you my thoughts on your comments, what else do you want? I was just answering your question. Did you not really want me to answer? Oh, by the way, I am still awaiting your support of the supposed war Christians are promoting against non-believers.... I haven't forgotten, but thanks for the reminder.
